A BRIEF HISTORY OF
Booyco Engineering
Booyco Engineering has been building customised HVAC systems for over four decades.
Established in 1985, Booyco Engineering began its journey as a subsidiary of the renowned Howden Group, answering a crucial need in the local military vehicle building industry for specialised air handling services. With access to cutting-edge technology from a UK affiliate, the company swiftly emerged as a leader in HVAC solutions.
Following a management buyout amidst challenging times of sanctions and arms embargoes against South Africa, Booyco Engineering forged ahead independently, undertaking a vast array of projects. The company naturally expanded into the rail and mining sectors, leveraging the technology and experience acquired in military applications.
Now, with almost four decades of experience, we stand tall as the foremost designer and manufacturer of tailor-made HVAC and air handling solutions for heavy-duty mobile applications.

At our 2023 WTF Foundation Charity Golf Day we raised R700 000, split between our two deserving beneficiaries, namely The Frida Hartley Shelter and Pillars of Hope.

EMPOWERING OUR YOUTH THROUGH OUR
Learnership prograMmE
Booyco Engineering’s Learnership Programme, spanning a year, offers unemployed youth exposure to work environments and knowledge-based training.
Mentored through practical and theoretical programs like Production Technology NQF2 and Business Administration NQF4, learners gain essential skills. Our programme culminates in a full qualification, with further study options available for those interested, empowering them for successful careers.
